Winter Solstice Thoughts
Posted December 18th, 2008 by Anonymous
For most this is the time of year when the weather turns cold and the thought of starting a fire in the fireplace brings thoughts of warmth and comfort. But for me in Florida it is anything but cold. As I sit here today the temperature is flirting with 80 degrees.
This is the time of year when I find myself turning within. I don't know if it has to be that my birthday falls in December or it if is related to the growing darkness in the year. I find that it is a good time to evaluate what I have accomplished during the year and what I would have liked to finish. I spend time reviewing all that I am grateful for having in my life. Even the things which have been hard has made me grow stronger. I continue to ask the Goddess for guidance.
May the Goddess walk beside you as we watch the wheel of the year make another turn.
Blessings of the season,
Dawn "Belladonna"
