Bendis ~ Co-Founder

As a high priestess (ordained by Z Budapest) and founder of The Apple Branch, a Dianic Tradition (http://www.applebranch.org), I have been in service to The Goddess and Her women since 1985. Throughout these many years, my focus has been toward guiding women and helping them to find their way to self-empowerment.
I have done this through priestess training, spiritual mentoring, workshops, special events, retreats, and festival presentations. My desire to become a part of a worldwide networking group began a couple of years ago, but it was not until recently that we here at the Global Goddess connected with our common desires.
Through actively moderating large e-lists and web crafting with my own site, The Blue Roebuck (http://www.blueroebuck.com), I have worked with many women seeking assistance with their spiritual growth. This has allowed me to build contacts around the globe for networking and to help women to find groups and teachers.
In my work I have facilitated many, new and creative ways of bringing women together. One of the ways I have done this is by modeling the days gone by when women came together to work with their hands, actively sharing with each other their personal stories and feelings. Others have referred to this special talent as "Collecting Women." My "collecting" activities include WomenSinging, IvyGirls, CraftyWomen, and WildWomenCollective. I have actively organized festivals such as Enter the Deep, Hecate's Retreat, United Earth Assembly, and assisted with Goddess 2000 and Celebration of Womanhood.
I served on the Planning Circle for Festival of the Goddess in Texas as Temple Priestess and created and presented a Goddess Festival, Enter the Deep in Austin, Texas. I am also actively training priestesses on-line. In my daily life I work as Director of Operations for New Leaf Distributing Company in Lithia Springs, Georgia.
I am the mother of three children, now grown, and grandmother to five awesome kids! Personal stats: Aries with Aries Rising and Moon in Gemini. Born April 18, 1942. I come to the Goddess with a great deal of passion and high energy. I am committed to my life of service.
Among my contributions to Global Goddess are my organizational abilities and experience in sponsoring events, as well as in networking, connecting women with others for the purpose of spiritual growth and for the development of their priestessing skills. I also serve as Webmistress for this site and The Oracle, our online Ezine.
In the practice of my Craft I have learned to pay close attention when the Goddess calls, and when She does, I follow Her lead.
Blessed Be
Deanne ~ Bendis*
